Group D - Greece Roster

Time to begin the predictions of the roster.. maybe a prize for those who get the most correct prior to the announcement

I wonder how long will they wait for Murphy who's participating in Connecticut Sun training camp..

They need a big woman, so they are forced to wait.

Does Douglas even qualify for a Greek passport under whatever rules the country has? It seems like the rumours and stories about her 'becoming Greek' have been floating around for ages now, and yet it never comes to fruition.

Had the Greeks not changed the immigration rules she probably would have the passport. The rules were changed recently so that she had to live for at least 5 in Greece before being eligible. Previously it was enough if she was married with a Greek for 5 years.

In an interesting turn of events it appears Sandrine Gruda is also skipping this WNBA season meaning that Stephanie Murphy has fair chances of making the final Connecticut Sun roster considering they're one center down and there are no other reinforcements in sight.

Maybe it's Thibault's revenge for never letting him have Evanthia Maltsi back .

Stefanie Murphy should receive the Greek passport within days according to a couple of Greek sites. And now that she's been the last player waived from the Connecticut Sun I'm almost certain she'll play for Greece.

Phew, Greek bureaucrats came through again - Murphy couldn't get the passport in time.
